Even if you are not RC, do go look at the stained glass pieces! They are really fantastic!

I absolutley LOVE stumbling upon old churches and making my way through them. This was one of the best I've ever seen. We are not Catholic at all, but the architecture of this building is just overwhelming.

It only takes a few moments to walk through, you shouldn't miss it.

In the midst of dashing from history to culture and back again, take some time and enjoy the Cathedral, the Sister Cities Plaza and the Swann Fountain, all within a block of one another at 18th-19th Sts and the Benj. Fraklin Parkway. It's a great place to recharge your batteries for the long walk to the Art Museum. The architecture of the Cathedral will draw you in, but once inside you can feel the spirituality of the place. Don't miss the side altars, each one is a gem itself. The outside renovation is complete. The Sister Cities Plaza re-opens on 5-12-12 and looks great. And for my money, the Swann Fountain is the prettiest spot in the whole city, Some say it gives the city a European feel. I say it's one place us Philadelphians can be proud of.
