This is the best Marriott property that I've stayed at to date. The hotel was immaculately clean, the service was outstanding and the quality of the room was beyond my expectations. I booked a suite for the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised by it. When you walk into the room, you're in the living area with two comfy chairs and a pull out sofa. The view was nice too. The bedroom was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and comforter were just what I like. The bathroom was very nice as well. Housekeeping took great care of us and left plenty of towels, soaps, etc. Checking in and out was a breeze. What struck me the most was the attitude of the employees. Every single one was cheery, personable and ready to help in any way. I appreciated the fact that when using the elevator, you need your room key to go up to the floors.
As this Courtyard is situated in the Navy Yard, you will have to pass through a gate with a security officer on the way in and out. There too, they were always pleasant. As they whole Navy Yard is under development itself, it may seem a little odd to pass through the gates and see Naval ships waiting to be scrapped. We actually thought it was neat. There are numerous buildings under construction on the property, so the views and the overall feel of the place will improve as time goes on. All in all, this was a wonderful experience and we're eager to return.

Room Tip: If you're inclined to book a suite, I'd suggest you choose a higher floor. The view is very...

I needed a place to stay after I had a procedure done. I was going to stay in downtown Philly. Did an online research and found this place. Great place. Check in was a breeze. I was allowed to check in early which was great. After putting my bags in the room I went down to the Bisto. The food was good. The room it self had a nice design and layout. The bed was comfortable. Pillows had different firmness. I liked that. 42in flat screen TV that can be pulled out. I brought my PS3 with me so I need to plug in the HDMI cord. There's a desk with a slide out table as well. There was a nice little couch/ love sit. The entertainment center also had a mini fridge. Plenty of lights and outlets too. The bath room was nice. It had a glass inclosed show. The controls are on the opposite end.(brilliant idea) Hate getting burnt trying to adjust the temp. There's free WIFI and free parking. My wife used the gym. She said it had all new and up to date equipment. Overall it was a great it's a great place.

We stayed here as part of a birthday surprise! The hotel was
Extremely clean and the service and front desk staff were professional and accommodating. The location was excellent for our in town getaway. Our room also had a view of the sports complex and city in the distance. Definitely a pleasant surprise!

We stayed at this hotel one week after it opened. I was so excited about staying at a brand new hotel. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we noticed that the bathroom was dirty. The floor had black spots on it right in front of the toilet, there was hair in the sink and the small shampoo and conditioner bottles were half used. I really liked the shower which was a decent size and all glass (no tub). Besides the bathroom, the rest of the room appeared to be clean. The bed and the pillows were really comfortable. I actually gave this hotel a higher rating than it should have only because the people at the front desk and the manager were very nice and accommodating when I told them about the bathroom. For now I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope this is a temporary problem and will go away once the staff have been completely trained. The area of the hotel is perfect if you want to go to see a 76'ers game. The ship yard has a free shuttle (I think only up to around 5:00PM) to the subway station which is right in front of the Wells Fargo stadium. After the game, we walked back to the hotel which only took us about 10 minutes. You do have to cross over a road where cars are coming off of the highway but there is a red light so it wasn't bad. The hotel also has free parking which is a plus since you can leave it at the hotel and walk to the game.

This hotel was absolutely stunning from the lobby to the rooms everything was amazing. I checked in on January 31, 2014 and was blown away by how professional and pleasant the desk clerk was (I believe her last name was King). I got to my room and it was incredible spacious and clean (which has not always been my experience at Courtyards). The location was great for anyone going to a sporting event, working in the area, or just needs a peaceful weekend getaway; unfortunately I was there to party so it wasn't the best location for me. I work in the hospitality industry and I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to hotels but I would definitely give this hotel 2 thumbs up.

As I write this review, the hotel is only 12 days old! It's right near the sports complex. When you travel to the end of Broad Street you think you are lost but you are not. You have to go through the Navy Yard gate. Ask for view of the stadiums. You will also see the city in the background too. The room and bathroom are very modern and tastefully decorated. And, you are only 15-20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. You will need a car or taxi to take you to the hotel. I did not inquire if there is any shuttle service available. Not sure? I will be sure to stay at the hotel again.
