While walking back to our hotel, we stopped to have a drink. Small place, 2 floors, plus some outside seating. Very relaxed and cordial staff. Stopped back the next day to eat. Also a good experience. Worth seeking out, on Ben Franklin Parkway, keep eyes open, not a big sign from street.

Stopped in to watch some Stanley Cup playoff hockey and really enjoyed my visit. Bar staff were very friendly and were quick to fill an empty glass. Food was above average bar fare and I recommend the Philly cheesesteak highly. Very initimate setting popular with the locals getting off work for happy hour.

My reviews are based on comparable places. This is a very simple neighborhood type place. But, it's a very good very simple neighborhood type place. Stopped in for a few beers after wandering around Philly. Had a few beers and loaded fries to munch on. Service was attentive (despite us being only table seated outside.

This was a quaint little pub. We walked past the empty kegs to get in, and were greeted by a harried bartender. We ordered drinks and food. The bartender took the order and ran off barely letting us finish speaking. He later apologized as his waitress had called in. I ordered the Shepard's pie as did another at the table. we were told to be careful, the plated were hot. Her's was steaming, mine was cool on one side and tepid on the other, I think they cooked hers twice and forgot to put mine in the oven, just next to it. It still tasted good.
