Having just returned from Phili, Reading Terminal Market was somewhere I fancied visiting.
We arrived on a Thursday in time for a late lunch.
We walked round, looking and smelling all the different tastes and flavours.
Eventually we chose a Cajun stall. We selected Cajun Cafe for a couple of reasons. It smelt amazing, they were offering out samples of their offerings. Alligator Gumbo, outstanding. That was enough to entice us in.
I had the Gator Gumbo, excellent. The lads I was with had the train wreck, a sandwich famous at the market. Beef, gator andouille sausage, salami and onions with a Cajun Mayo. That was exactly as described. Spicy, messy and too much for one person.
Everything again the Reading Terminal is well priced and there's so much choice, fresh seafood, great cheese steaks, stalls selling great jerky, stalls selling spice variety, preserves, chutneys.
Just a very decent and enjoyable experience, at a pretty cheap price.
