“If You Want Something Different”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

This gem is the place to go if you want to experience a different taste. This Market has every type of food, from Soul Food, to Indian, to Chinese, Italian, Amish, and everything in between. Walk around and you can find fresh meats, seafood, homemade ice cream, pastries, etc.I tried different vendors in the Market and they were all very good. I will definitely return when in Philly again.

“Wonderful places to grab a quick bite”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

A smorgasbord of counter-type eateries for breakfast and lunch. Wonderful food, bakeries, delis, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, desserts, etc. i especially enjoyed the philly cheesesteak at Carmen's (best out of the 3 cheesesteaks I had in Philly)' blueberry pancakes at Dutch Eating Place, fresh carved turkey sandwich at the Original Turkey. Fun just to walk around and see all of the activity and smells.

“A MUST for a trip to Philly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

If we are in Philly for any reason, we make a trip to Reading Terminal for lunch. It has cuisine from around the world, and it's fun to just buy a little of everything! My husband always starts with a slice of pizza from By George. Today we bought two and shared them between us and our kids, ages 5 and 7. These were our appetizers as we looked around for what we wanted our lunch to be. Reading Terminal is because everyone can get what they want. My girls had Chinese food today. I had a cheesesteak from Carmen's (I feel like I have to have a cheesesteak in Philly!), and my husband had a pastrami special from Herschel's, which was about 8 inches high! We also shared a caprese salad from Mezze, a Mediterranean shop, which was excellent. We were so happy and FULL when we left!
Seating is tricky. You have to watch over tables and wait for people to finish. Sometimes you sit with strangers, but it's all good because you are all there enjoying tastes of heavenly foods! The Market is next to/attached to the convention center, so it can get busy when there are conventions going on. Regardless, it's worth it. They've also upgraded the bathrooms recently, which makes the trip even nicer!

“This is not just a resaurant, it's a huge market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

We loved this place and wish we had one close to us like this at home. Lots of vendors, places to eat and fresh fruits, etc. We ate at the gyro place, old city coffee and then also the creperie place for breakfast. Lots and lots of yummy choices here.

“Heaven on earth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

If there is a heaven, I hope it's just like The Reading Terminal Market. Every food under the sun can be found here. I've never in close to 30 years ever had a bad experience here. It does get crowded at times, but that is part of the fun. A must stop in Philly!
