Tiny restaurant/take out with minimal seating (considering how CRAZY busy it gets) and off the beaten path, with incredibly efficient and friendly waitresses, and most importantly, HEAVENLY cheesesteak sandwiches AND a huge beer selection!
Managed to find a seat at the counter and ordered a mushroom cheesesteak and a beer. Although I forgot to ask for mayo or whiz it was still completely heavenly with the roll soft and toasted on the inside (so yummy I would actually it by itself) and piled high with cheesesteak and mushrooms. There was no fat or gristle on any of the meat and it was so very flavorful. There was so much food I brought half the sandwich home with me (and I'm a big eater so that's saying a lot)!
The interior was very run down looking (resembled a very old and small diner or corner store) but there was outdoor seating (way too cold for that when I was there otherwise definitely would've chosen that option).
This place has won multiple awards and is even Zagat rated. I was on a mission to find the perfect cheesesteak and hit the jackpot when I decided to try Delassandro's first. I would look no further if you want an amazing Philly cheesesteak. The place is seriously packed with customers (mostly locals) who all feel the same about this amazing place!
