“The Best Polish Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

I've been bringing my step-son, and now my son for years every Christmas as part of our holiday tradition, starting even before it was Syrenka's. The pierogis and kielbasi are fantastic, and unless they've run out (get there early enough) I pick up several dozen frozen to take home for Christmas Eve dinner. Bring cash, and read the other reviews, yes it's a cafeteria-style, and the woman behind the counter is pretty gruff (if I could speak Polish, I imagine I would figure out why), but honestly, who cares? It is the best Polish food around, and worth the trip. If you're looking for more Polish fare, after filling up at Syrenka, walk across the street to the Krakus Market for great kielbasi and other goodies. They have frozen pierogies too, but not as good as Syrenka.

“Good food...nasty attitude”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

This is a stainless steel, utilitarian place with decent food which is served with a sneer and a rude attitude by a young lady who seems to be having a perpetual bad day. On a recent visit, while watching some visitors be abused, I was actually asked: "Is she always like this?" The unfortunate answer is "Yes."

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

We travel the 3 hr round trip just to eat here often.. Best Pierogi's and Golabki hands down.. As for the atmosphere comment in the other review, it's not meant to be a fancy place... It's cafeteria style! You will not be dissapointed
