Description: Mixto is a two-story natural wood and exposed brick building located on the east side of downtown Philadelphia on the historic Antique Row. We have been opened for ten consecutive years. Our vision has been to bring an array of flavors of the Cuban, Latin American and Caribbean cuisine to the Center City area. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with bar service and an extensive wine selection. Mixto offers outdoor dining with a South Beach Miami ambiance during the spring, summer & fall when the weather permits.

Excellent food and a favorite among the locals. Great mojitos and Sangria from the bar. Very popular so there can be a wait.

This is not far from the Forrest Theater on Walnut St. which is why we chose it: The walls have exposed brick and two stories with a large bar area upstairs. The paella for one was good, the meats tender but the seafoods quite salty which detracted from the overall flavors. Our party loved their choices of Ropa Vieja and Pollo Mareado. The mojitos were super-sweet (not the way they're made in Cuba!)--I could hardly finish mine. The bus boy/waiter had to be flagged over to the table before our water glasses were refilled, but out waitress was friendly and checked back after we were served. Overall a good meal in a nice location. I would recommend this restaurant to friends.

We have had lunch and dinner at Mixto many times. The ambiance is wonderful and the entire design of the restaurant is
very sophisticated. Their drinks, appetizers and salads are outstanding. One of our favorite dishes is soup de Moriscos -
seafood soup over rice. Highly recommended.

Had dinner at Mixto the other night and enjoyed every second of it. Six total in our party...a wide array of dishes, drinks and beer sampled...and everything was outstanding. Sure the place is noisy..but in a festive way. Paella is great...appetizers really tasty...plantain dishes particularly..and the service is courteous and efficient..Got away with parking in a loading zone right out front..and that served as a good omen to a terrific meal.
