The food was excellent. The staff could smile a bit and be a bit more attentive, but it was St.Patricks day and they were dealing with a few rowdy customers, so they were a bit frazzled. Portions were huge and cost was good value.,

Met here as the beginning of a tour and was crowded but noticed the 2 bartenders barely made eye contact and worked at a leisurely pace. Started our night in the wrong foot. Owner needs to clean house and hire some "hungry" unemployed bartenders.

This has been a request of mine on many past Birthdays-Mexican Post in Olde City with friends. It's convenient for after if you want to take bar hoping, good food, and reasonable prices. Only draw back is it is on the cozy side so all must be present before being seated but no biggie.

The Mexican Post on Chestnut Street near Front is one of our favorites. You get a huge plate of food for not a lot of cash and the food is good! I'm not Mexican so I can only guess that the food is authentic, but it's damned good. We've been eating at this place for years and it has yet to disappoint. My favorites are the appetizers, the Pollo Wings ROCK. If they'd sell me a gallon of the bleu cheese dressing, I'd be in heaven! And I don't know what that sauce is, but it's finger likkin good! They actually fry the wings (I think) before they coat them and what you get is crunchy skin (the best) on coated wings with a heavenly bleu cheese dressing and crunchy celery that makes your mouth water...not too many restaurants can pull this off. You usually get some soggy mess and watery dressing that's just wrong but I guess that doesn't matter if you're at some hack wing shack. Their nachos are packed with meat and all of the fixings that you want when you're knocking back some brews or a pitcher of margaritas and need some substance in your belly. The entrees are HUGE! You will def need a doggy bag and will enjoy the food the next day heated up in the toaster oven or microwave. The people who work there take good care of you too. I highly recommend the Mexican Post on Chestnut Street near Front.

Nothing special here. It is OK if you just need to grab a bite. It is too loud to have a conversation even early in the week. There is an outdoor patio but the smell of sewer gas is so strong on the approach that you might not want to eat.
