We stayed right next to Davio's and decided to make reservations on a night it was raining and didn't want to travel far. It was a pleasant surprise, as you can't see much from the street, amazing service, nice atmosphere and good food.

During a most recent stay in Philadelphia, we had dinner down there at our Boston favorite: Davio's. The Philadelphia location is on the second floor and, like the other Davio's locations, is very warm and welcoming. The food is excellently prepared and served piping hot. I had a New York sirloin and my niece had the lemon ricotta ravioli - both were fantastic. Cocktails are outstanding in terms of both liquor quality and quantity and the bartenders know their drinks! This restaurant is very open in terms of dining area but actually seems smaller and even more pleasant due to the way the tables are set up and positioned. Admittedly, I am a Davio's fan and have now gone to each of its locations. I will continue doing so because they have the way to please diners down pat! I recommend it.

The dining room is lovely, food delicious and varied and the service excellent. Emilio is a very attentive server and helped to make our evening very special and the sommelier Kevin is very knowlegeable and helpful.

Wild highly recommend this spot in the city!

Went here for an anniversary dinner and had a tired child next to us. Didn't bother us as it wasn't the restaurants fault and the mom was very apologetic (we've been there too). After they left the restaurant apogized and offered us free dessert. Wasn't necessary but just another indication of the great service. Thy assigned two servers to our table and we weren't wanting for anything during our meal. The food was very good and the wine list was very nice. Very good value as well especially as they were serving prime beef.

Staying at Guest Quarters and arrived too late to make it to the Reading Terminal Market (it closes at 6 pm)... Wanting something more local than a chain, Davio's was handy. It was a nice option. After a little setback (hostess said they don't take walkins until after 8... There were many tables open-- and didn't seem to be so backed up that two would hurt-- but I had a beer in the bar ) after about 40 minutes and more open tables, I approached the hostess again and they were able to seat us. After that it was smooth sailing. Very nice antipasto and bread. We ordered the spring roll sampler and really enjoyed the Philly cheesesteak roll the best. The angel hair pasta pomadoro was just perfect. Waitstaff was very attentive, but not interfering. Yes, the acoustics make an intimate conversation hard. But that didn't affect us. GQ guests receive a 15% discount, which is nice.
