The raves about the quality of this restaurant tell the story -- outstanding cuisine, service, ambiance. You do need a mindset untroubled by expense, but you can count on being treated with ultimate in service regardless of who you are and what your wishes might be. Was there on expense account that allowed enough money for a sumptuous breakfast and that was all, but the breakfasts are memorable. These people know their scrapple as well as their eggs-benedict and everything is perfectly prepared and presented. You can start a day that may later end with a cheesesteak hoagie with a sense of true luxury and very cordial service.

That said, if you've used up your expense account money, you can do very well for lunch or supper in the Lounge -- either the all-day menu or the bar menu. All prepared as impeccably as the more grand fare in Fountain. Worth even just a quick stop-in for a drink to savor the setting.

First-class restaurant with great ambience, outstanding personable service, and superb food. One of my top 10 dining experiences of all time. Jimmy was in an elite class of servers. Expensive but uniquely worth the money.

This is our first time at the Fountain restaurant after securing my in-laws to watch over our girl. We were fortunate to have Jim Miller (longtime server mentioned by Craig Laban) and he assured us that an 8 year old well behaved girl is very much welcome.
My wife had the paella (deconstructed) and it was great except for the bomba rice that was heavily salted. Bass, tiger shrimp and lobster pieces were all fresh and tasty. I got the roasted Australian rack of lamb which was perfectly cooked, tender and not gamey.
Chocolate soufflé was decadent and flavorful. Dark chocolate mousse is just fine, nothing special.
Overall food and service are outstanding and worthy to be above all topnotch restaurants in Philly...better than Vetri.

This was our third visit to the Fountain in the Four Seasons in Philly. The food and service are impeccable - every time. We go with another couple, and one young child, all well cared for and respected, despite many serious allergies amongst the conglomerate.

I must mention that the asparagus soup was incredible - like a bunch of fresh asparaguses (asparagi?) standing up and shouting for joy.

Don't mind the cost - everything is well worth it. But don't bother with dessert - you'll get great chocolates anyway!

My husband took me here for an evening out, and it was everything a 5-star restaurant should be. The staff was attentive and well-versed on every aspect of the dining event, without being stuffy or over-bearing. And it was an event! If you choose the 7-courses, it is fantastic, with new and creative foods to try; the portions are appropriately small, but it's a marathon - not McDonaldl's! If you want to impress ANYone, or just make an event truly special, head to the Fountain.
