“Nomad Roman on Locust, Great Pizza and snacks”
Reviewed January 17, 2014 via mobile

The Happy Hour sign drew us into a welcoming, new stop on Locust where unforgettable pizza, original appetizers and libations were served by a responsive wait staff. Tables are well spaced to allow quiet conversation in a lively atmosphere. A return trip is just around the corner as the wood oven baked pizza is light and flavorful with just the right amount of bite.

“Fun, tasty, funky”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

We were looking for somewhere to satisfy very different tastes - I like gourmet, local, seasonal, great ingredients, and my beau likes what he calls 'fat people food' (apologies for offense to anyone!). I would never normally eat pizza, but this place had really great pizzas that met my (rather snobby) gourmet tastes. Easy for a local night out. Not inexpensive for a pizza, but great to meet the tastes of people who like stylish dining and filling food. My beau's verdict: he thought it was a little 'fou fou' for him, but enjoyed the food. They had some rather funky jazz playing the night we were there which was fun too.

“Great wood-oven pizza!”
Reviewed November 3, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

The pizza here is excellent! It's not NY-style pizza, it's wood-oven pizza, so as long as you're not expecting that amazing thin crust traditional pizza, you won't be disappointed. Wide array of toppings and interesting flavor combinations, and they do seasonal specials. Love the salads and veggies as well. Atmosphere is very fun, I love the old silent movies playing upstairs.

“great pizza in a not-very-known place”
Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

the pizza was VERY tasty, and the crust was good and just right - not too thick and not too thin. I got the Tartuffo (mushroom/cream/egg), which was fantastic and better than the one I've had elsewhere in Philly.

The arancini (appetizer) I didn't like so much, but my friend thought they were great.
And they have a good alcohol selection, and friendly service.
Definitely intend to return!

“Great Neighborhood Pizza Place”

This is outstanding, high-end pizza with some flair, but still a wonderful place to take children. Wonderful soups and salads too.
