“Pleasant prix fixe lunch menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2013

Enjoyed my 3 course prix fixe lunch: artichoke soup, short rib cheese sandwich and pumpkin pie (USD20++). Our server, BJ, was attentive but not obsequious. Nice place to have a quiet unhurried conversation.

“Excellent Crab Cake”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2013

While staying at the Lowe's, we enjoyed dinner at SoleFood on two different nights. Both nights, Sunday and Tuesday, service and food was good. No complaints regarding speed, timing or servers.

The first night I had the crab cake, which was EXCELLENT. Highly recommend it. My dinner companions also enjoyed the hanger steak and striped bass. The butterscotch cheesecake was also very tasty.

Second night we ordered the Restaurant Week special, which included 2 smaller entree sampling and a dessert. Pork belly and lancaster chicken were both good, cooked nicely. The dessert was a Lemon / Berry Parfait (can't remember exact name) and was by far the big hit of the night with everyone at the table raving about it.

“Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

Average American hotel food (i.e., servicable and expensive). We had our breakfast here because it was included in our package. The service was terrific. The food was average. No complaints, just nothing exceptional. Very expensive for what it is.

“Disappointing Service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

It was late, we were hungry and didn't want to go far or think too much, so we ended up at this place in the Loew's hotel. Our server was clueless, our food came at different times, some cold, some fine. Nothing overwhelming, and not worth the price. I would not do this again.

“Record rainfall forced me to eat here... but it was good...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

I have traveled to Philly many times and enjoyed the restaurants. I was staying at the Loews and would not have eaten here except I was there during the all time record date for rainfall and decided to eat in the hotel instead of braving the elements.

Ordered the roasted 1/2 chicken and it was excellent... breast was still moist... cooked perfectly. Like a lot of downtown restaurants it was expensive for chicken but that is just the way it is...

For a hotel restaurant it was great.
