Extremely expensive, and this style of cooking went out in the 90's. Charging incredibly high prices for a chef's artistic presentation of food is ridiculous. Clients were not impressed nor was I, and its bad when even my kids leave hungry because of portion size. High price to pay just to eat in a vintage ship. Being a Marine, I'd rather eat in the chow hall/mess deck of a US Naval vessal.

Took a date from high school there 40 years ago, now the Sunday brunch with all you can drink champagne specialties. The food was quite good from pre meal to dessert. Soups, salads, breads, cheeses, meats, main courses, etc. It's $40 on a Sunday but you can sit there for 2-3 hours taking your time and taking in the views of the river from an authentic 4 masted schooner that been sitting there for 45 + years. William our waiter was fantastic and a real pleasure to talk to. very knowledgeable and always attentive. A great young man.

Ambience was pleasant but main dish choices were not. I came in with a bus tour and the choices were limited Tilapia - dry, Roast Pork Roll which was served rare?????? When complaints rolled in , the servers did take it back but brought it back in the same rare condition, Grilled Chicken dry and unimaginative and some kind of bland meat. The salad, rolls and dessert were good. Take a pass on this one.

Moshulu is a boat turned into a restaurant. It has a rich history as a ship but that's not why you go there. It's all about the food and atmosphere. This was my second time here and my experience was as good as the first. Waiter was knowledgeable on the wine list and food preparation. Food was very good and interesting. Add that you're in a WWI war ship with Penn's Landing views of the Delaware adds an unequaled atmosphere. OK, looking at Camden doesn't turn me on but a riverfront view is not something I can get at home.Pricey but we thought it was not overly so. There are other places in Philadelphia to go but this is a uniquely different experience and worth trying once.
