“Very nice place!”
Reviewed July 29, 2014

Two moms and two daughters (Age 10) - we stopped in here for an early dinner/late lunch after sight seeing all day.... we had some salads and apps and the girls had some things of the kids menu - very nice experience! Server was lovely - food was good and just loved the atmosphere! Would definitely tell folks to head here for a meal while seeing all that Phila has to offer!

“Excellent Place for Lunch!”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

This was a terrific place to step out of the summer heat and enjoy a traditional pub lunch. The service was very attentive, and it was easy to pretend we were in Ireland with a waitress who actually was FROM Ireland! Our food was prepared quickly, and it was delicious. We had the Guiness Casserole and Shepherd's Pie. Both were extremely tasty. Portions were large. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

“Great Atmosphere and Even Better Food &Drink”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

What a cool place to watch some soccer and grab a pint with some phenomenal food. The Angus burger and curried fries were excellent. The Guinness is always perfectly poured. But, don't feel trapped, they've got another 30 different beers available.

If a daytime soccer match isn't your type of scene, then this place will work for you at night when it transforms into a cross between a "hip place" and a friendly "neighborhood bar".

Can't wait to get back!

“Cool atmosphere, good food”
Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

Our party of 9 had lunch here during a trip to Philly. We had several different sandwiches and entrees and all were very tasty. The breading on the chicken tenders was delicious, the Caesar salad was good. Our waitress was very nice. My husband tried a couple of beers and liked them. They have a good selection on tap. She was from Dublin, Ireland and chatted with us a good bit. There are so many places to eat in downtown philly and we were happy we chose this one!

“Great food, beer, people and atmosphere...what more do you need?”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

There are a lot of choices of restaurants in Philadelphia but if you want a place that offers good food reasonable prices and an amazing selection of beer, go to the Plough on 2nd street just up from Chestnut. I had a delicious organic duck breast and red pear salad while my wife had the filet special ($20) that was amazing. They were very accommodating to the fact that I had my 9 month old grand daughter with me. Service was very quick, friendly and unobtrusive..thanks Louise!
