Tight little place, but the atmosphere is awesome... great mussel dishes if you enjoy them, they have several versions. The title speaks for itself. Almost anything you want and good and cold...

This is a wonderful, local bar to visit! The beer was phenomenal and the food was just as good. We were with a big good and everyone was able to find something that they liked. Would definitely put this on my list of places to go again.

The beer list is amazing. The food is great. Everyone raves about the mussels. I do not like mussels. So, that is not my thing. But, this is the bar that first turned Philly on to good beer. We owe so much to Monk's for turning the beer scene on in Philly that I might actuall cry if it went away. Unfortunately it can be hard to get into even on a weeknight. So, I do nto go often. But, if you want a great Belgian bar experience, this is a favorite of most Philadelphians.

went to Monk's last week w/ my son on a Tuesday night. Got there around 9:00 pm and still had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Small neighborhood bar with grat food and service. We had mussels in a garlic wine broth that was great, order a small bucket ($10) enough mussels for two people. Then had the duck salad sandwich. One of the best sandwiches i have ever eaten, sliced duck breast with walnuts, greens and a great dressing. Outstanding selection of beers. great find!
