“Bang. Amazing.”
Reviewed March 24, 2014

Went on a tour of all Starr Concepts and so didn't get to eat a full meal but had enough to know this place is amazing. Atmosphere, service, food, they have it all. Definitely try the Edamame Dumplings. To die for.

“1 of best Asian fusion meals I have ever had”
Reviewed March 22, 2014 via mobile

Buddakan did not disappoint. Location is just near Independence Hall and several main hotels. Dined at the bar as the night was booked but Bartender new every detail of the menu and walked us through what to order. Shared all of the dishes and many notables that I will be looking forward to again: Chilean Sea Bass, Edamame dumplings, Tuna sashimi spring rolls, Korean beef fried rice and of course the Chinese donuts with dipping sauces. Scene was very vibrant but not overly noisy and even several families with small kids. Well done Buddakan.

“Lick my plate yummy”

beautiful surroundings, lively atmosphere and the best fish I have EVER devoured. The prices were reasonable except the cost of an average bottle of wine was outrageous. I will return!!

“Birthday dinner”
Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

I have been waiting to try this place for quite sometime. It's is AMAZING. We had a wonderful sake as well as Sea Bass that really could melt in your mouth and the Shrimp Lo Mein that I thought was good I just don't like salt and it was cooked in soy sauce I think. Our server was great and the ambience is quite lovely. Definatley suggest everybody you try this place.

“Consistent excellence”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

There aren't a lot of places where I feel like I can't be let down, but Buddakan is one of them. The dishes are excellent and work best with a group of at least 3 so you can share family-style. It is probably my favorite restaurant in Philly and I bring people here often. It can be loud-ish, not unreasonably so, but loud enough that it isn't ideal for business. It is a great choice for a small group of friends though. Leave the kids at home - they won't have company.
