Enjoyed a evening with business associates in the lively packed restaurant. We had drinks at the bar first. The table seating was cosy. We had a selection of different foods, which the waiteress recommended. The choice was excellent, fully of interesting flavours.
Would recommend a visit to anyone.

This restaurant should be the model of how to maintain consistency and quality over many years. Its food is exceptional , the atmosphere vibrant and the serving staff very competent. The only negative is the tables are so spaced that our party of four was constantly getting bumped by servers rushing back and forth - also the tables themselves are way too small for the large serving plates they use. Overall though an excellent restaurant.

This time I pulled right up to valet and with a reservation at the crowded establishment I was immediately whisked to small cozy table in a dark corner. This was not an ideal location for me and friend who came for good food, conversation, people watching we requested another table with some ado and attention from Justin the manager. We waited about 30 minutes with complimentary drinks and were seated upstairs at a "Window" table where we overlooked the entire restaurant.

The Phood was PHENOMENAL. From the spicy Ribs, Crab rice, Wok Stir-fried Chinese Broccoli to the Monkfish. We really enjoyed our meals and will return to indulge in other featured menu items.

Buddakan has been around for a while now, and maybe the edge isn't quite as sharp as it used to be. Food was good, but not exceptional - what used to be so innovative isn't so much any longer. Reasonably well prepared, but some dishes weren't up to par. Service was good. And the decor is great - who wouldn't eat better under the giant Buddha?

Besides it being sooooo loud you can't even have a conversation, the food is cold, subpar, & overpriced. The service is below average, at best. We ordered the "special" dumplings which had to be sent back because they were ice cold (they were supposed to be hot/fried)! I ordered the monkfish & no where on the menu does it mention it is fried. I was served what looked like Arthur Treacher's Fish & Chips........GROSSSSS! I sent it back and ordered a filet mignon medium. What was served to me was a medium well, dried out piece of meat. Rather than send it back & risk having them spit in my food, I had to eat it. The crab fried rice, tasted fishy, had hardly any crab & was wayyyyyyy too salty. The manager was less than apologetic & did not handle the situation appropriately. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!
