Great food and service. Went with a large group and had a menu sampler. Everything was delicious including the wasabi mashed potatoes.

“Overpriced, underfed, sick of disco”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

The heading says it all. The food we had tasted good, what little there was of it. Now, you skeptics say, she's comparing it to the gigantic American portions served in chain or lower end places. Nope. I don't eat at chains, and am used to gourmet French and European restaurants where portions are smaller, more moderate. This place is cheesy by THOSE standards. The horrible throbbing disco music blaring was NOT fine dining style by any standards. It was cramped, overpriced for teeny tiny portions, and underwhelming. Save your money for Morimoto...that place is ridiculously priced, but at least it's actually worth it. Won't be back.

“Fun experience, creative food”
Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

Enjoyed the meal- restaurant is beautiful, presentation very good. Portion sizes appeared smallI but were actually just right for two people. It is a bit of a "see and be seen" place but that made for good people watching.

“Dine with Buddha”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

If you are in the mood to escape to a restaurant that makes you feel as though you are in a far-away Eastern land, Buddakan is your place. The food is mouth-watering, upscale and delicious. I have visited Buddakan several times over the past few years and have never had a mediocre, let alone bad meal here. I don't know if they still have them on the menu, but the ahi tuna pizza / flatbread appetizer and edemame ravioli are perfect for sharing with your date before the main course arrives. The bar and restaurant are trendy and as appealing to the eye as the food is to your taste buds. If you're in Old City of Philadelphia, stop by here for a cocktail / appetizer and/or dinner. Buddakan will surely not disappoint.
