This is a great restaurant. Period. Yes, the prices are a bit higher than some, but the ambiance and the service make it worth the trip. I highly recommend the lobster bisque, filet mignon, delmonico ribeye, salmon, baked potato, creamed spinach, asparagus and, best of all, the crab cakes! Their crab cakes are the best in the world - seriously. If you are in downtown Philly, this is the place to go.

The service was excellent and the menu selection was expansive. The prices were a bit higher than comparable high-end restaurants in the area, but that is part of the restaurant's cultivated reputation. The menu also has a good selection of lighter fare. The tables are well spaced, allowing for reasonable privacy during conversation.

I took my daughter for lunch there to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere is old school
class, tables set just far enough away from each other to offer privacy, booths are also
available. There is both a lunch and dinner menu, with the latter naturally being quite a bit
more costly, but reasonable for this type of establishment. AN extensive wine list offers
satisfaction for every taste. There was a lunch special offering 3 courses including beverage
for $18- that seemed to be of excellent value.

I had the Filet Mignon, which if i remember correctly was $27- and was very good. Service
was excellent without being overbearing. This is definitely the type of restaurant
one may enjoy a special occasion or romantic evening, highly reccomended.

Good food, nice service. Adequate athmosphere and moderate choice of wines. Not in tune with the expensive check.

I love high end restaurants but do not indulge often. I ordered the Chopped Salad and the "Dry Aged Steak au Poivre with a Courvoisier Cream Sauce". We shared Grilled Asparagus with Lemon Oil, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and Roasted Wild Mushrooms.

The fries were wonderful. The asparagus and mushrooms were good, but nothing out of the ordinary.

My steak had a good flavor but was over-cooked, so I did not enjoy it as I should have for $40+.

We did not have dessert. My companions seemed satisfied but no one raved about their meals (Pan Seared Chilean Sea Bass with Citrus and Pea Tendrils and Blackened Scallops). I would try another restaurant before I returned.
