Overlooking the historic Rittenhouse Square Park planned by founding father William Penn, our Philadelphia restaurant offers a panoramic view of this picturesque center city landmark. Service was good but the side dishes exceeded the steaks. Two in our party had to return their steaks because they were overcoooked and the waiter, although competent, wanted to assert when shown the cuts that well done was medium and that medium was medium rare. One of the returned steaks came back out overcooked again. For the priceyness, this was a bit of a letdown.

Been in PHL a few times in business now, and I always make a journey to the clubby dark toned S+Ws. Great place - and one of the better steak and seafood places,

I've seen some reviews which complain about the service - on the 3/4 occasions I have eaten there in the the last year, the service has been friendly and attentive.

Scallops, a nice steak with truffled mac and cheese - and you're set. A cool pint to start, a robust Cab with your beef - and this boy is well happy.

The menu offerings were expected for a seafood house/restaurant, nothing unexpected or unusual. The food while presented well, lacked any inspiration for the palate. It was a basic seafood offering.

Again this is a neighborhood place for us. The burgers and steaks are worth choosing. New on the menu is the crab cakes. These are all crab meat and no filler. The atmosphere is clubby with dark wood, tables and booths. The servis is usually good but I have been there on a few occasions when we had to look for our waiter. Worth a visit.

Service is superb without being in your face.
I had mussels to start, excellent.
10oz filet which was deliver rare and was of good quality.
Whipped potato was great, not a fan of cheese in them though.
Asparagus was burnt.
Wine list is extensive but overpriced like all US restaurant but had a decent Napa Pinot Noir.

It was quiet when I was there but ti has a nice view over the square and park.
