Great food.second best grilled cheese. Service can be slow. Had one bad experience with waiter in six trips. Asked about a wine, and he told me to drink beer. Very pretentious.

The wait staff at Eulogy is fantastic. If you can't make a choice from the extensive beer list, they will select something wonderful based on your description of what you enjoy. The atmosphere is fun and festive, but not too loud to have a conversation. The food is always great as well -- particularly the hangar steak. The only downside is that the frites are steak fries!

Eulogy is king amongst Philadelphia's many great beer bars. Yes, Monk's is an institution...but I've always found the service/vibe at Monk's to be overwhelmingly pretentious. Eulogy, on the other hand, manages to offer all the best Belgian (and others) beer without the haughty attitude. Some of the food isn't great (as other reviewers have commented), but the mussels and frites don't disappoint.

Was in town for the Army-Navy football classic and was walking around our hotel when we literally stumbled onto the place. First let me cover the good ... The atmosphere - it's a real bar ... Cozy. The beer - tons and tons to choose from. The bar tender - great personality that gave you enough space to have your own fun with your friends, but would engage as long as you wanted on any topic. The food - yes, it's bar food, but the mussels where pretty darn tasty. Not let me cover the bad ... I wish I lived close by so I could visit more often!

Seriously, this is a neat bar and great place to grab a drink or two or three when you are in the Independence Hall area.

Found this place while walking around. Friendly crowd. Their beer list is amazing! They really have everything you could want. I couldn't decide among all the choices, so I told the bartender what I liked and didn't like, and he brought out a perfect choice!
