Great menu-we were a very large party and everything was handled beautifully! Fortunatley we were able to order many items and share them. DON"T MISS: Risi e Bisi risotto; cannellini hummus; squid ink gnocchi; and the bassano pizzetta.

Interesting menu, especially of small plates which is supposed to be this restaurants strength. Unfortunately, great opportunities were missed because several of the dishes used old meats. For example, both the duck in an interesting sauce with gnocchi and the chicken with our risotto tasted like they were a couple of days old. Fresh, large salad though.

We met Owner/Chef Andrea previously when we he was with Cafe Madison in NJ. We had a great experience there so when we found out about his C19 restaurant we were anxious to try it. Chef Andrea, Hostess Maria and the staff were amazing, the wine was great and the atmosphere and food fantastic. We've not been to Vencie, but based upon reading about, and hearing the Chef talk about his restaurant philosophy, some unusual menu options, and then tasting the actual food, you can't help but feel like you are experiencing authentic Venitian cuisine. We ordered some unusual options like gnocchi with Squid Ink and risotto with seafood (which also had squid ink as an ingredient), artichoke bottoms, and others and stayed away from more familiar options such as flat bread pizza. Homemade Tiramisu and cappicino were also excellent. One of the great things about foreign travel is to experience the local cuisine. When the food was presented, it added to the feeling like we were in Venice experiencing the local cuisine - and that was the point of our menu choices. Btw, we won't be looking for squid ink to add to our recipies at home, but at least for our first time at C19, it was a must try option. We have some favorite restaurants closer to home that are always great options, but our night at C19 was memorable and more like a dinner adventure than just a night out to eat. Andrea and Maria make you fell very welcome and definitely add to the experience.

Two of us met here to catch-up after a too long hiatus. We had some delightful wine at the bar (happy hour prices) which we enjoyed while bantering with the charming and friendly bartendress. We moved to a table for a bite to eat. Neither of us was particuarly hungry so we started with a cheese board consisting of five samples of intriguing varieties. Our server was nice enough to write down of the ones we particuarly enjoyed. We followed with Carpaccio paired with Arguletti with a horseradish aioli that was delicious and of ample quantity for us.
The atmosphere is most pleasant with wood features and subtle lighting (we saw some guests using their cell phone lights to read their menus!). The bar stools take getting used to. If you don't seat yourself properly you might slide off! This is a nice, friendly, and cozy neighborhood establishment.
