“Great breakfast”
Reviewed January 5, 2014

The food was great and large portions. We shared apple pie French toast and banana/blueberry pancakes. Both were excellent. Would have liked more fruit on the pancakes, but otherwise had no complaints.
Service was very good. We had a friendly, attentive waitress. I will definitely go again next time I am in Philly.

“Stuffed!”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

This place is terrific. Big and imaginative breakfasts. If you want, they can even be excessive. But they're all delicious! My favorite: the cheese grits with ... anything!

“Short-Rib Benedict and Mac & Cheese Perfection!”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

Don't let the waiting line detract you from trying Green Eggs Cafe--definitely worth the wait! The portions are huge and the food is fresh and first-rate. Go hungry, or plan on taking leftovers with you... we will most certainly return on our next trip to Philadelphia. We went to the Midtown Village location, but there are two others from which to choose.

Seriously, check out the menu: http://greeneggscafe.com/menu.

“High on Hype Low on Quality”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

For a week-end brunch place that has people waiting outside in the snow, the promise of something special was very high! Regrettably it was a huge let down. Packed with small tables in close proximity to your neighbors, Loud to the point of not hearing people speaking on your own table this place was busy in every way. It started with our waitress being sweet but clearly overwhelmed and very green. It went to the food that had raw potatoes, burned toast and mushy tastless grits. We politely pointed this out to the server which brought the manager along. He apologised saying that its hard to keep quality standards when you do 500 servings a day!! Wow. he also said he would have the kitchen send out replacements - they NEVER came. Again the manager came round to apologize and asked us to come back and ask for him next time. Is that really what it takes to get a good meal here and was he not already involved in fixing our problem which he clearly did not!?? Bottom line - HYPE does NOT equate to quality. AVOID!

“YUMMY!!!!”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. My sister had the pancakes; delicious and her order could have fed at least two people. I had the Greek yogurt topped with delicious granola. I wished I lived in Philadelphia ~ I would definitely eat at The Green Eggs Cafe at least once a week.
