“Street for mainstream music and theater venues”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Several theaters and the main music halls, restaurants and University of the Arts give this part of Broad Street its name and cachet.

“Take a walk”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

If nothing else, take a walk down the avenenue, many places to eat on and off of Broad Street. The Susan Roberts Theatre has a great series of shows. The Wilma is a little to dark and heavy for me. Many Broadway shows at the other places. If you dabble in art there are good stores to shop.

“Above South Street”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Much rehabilitated venue in Philly with lots of new restaurant options popping up. It's significantly cleaner & by my walk-through yesterday, it's practically devoid of hookers. They used to work down around Locust in the good ol days.

“Historical Ave.”

Take a walk from City Hall south past the Union League that was formed to help Lincoln's Union Army , past the four great theaters, several good hotels and restaurants and along the way make sure you see all the artists placques embedded in the sidewalk.

“Must see part of the city - especially at night”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

Not only is the Avenue a fun and interesting place to explore during the day, it's really beautiful to stroll at night. All along the Avenue leading up to City Hall buildings are lit with a colorful light show that will not disappoint. It leads to the backdrop of City Hall, which is bathed in bright white lights expertly showing off its gorgerous architecture.
