I went in the Autumn to take photos of the leaves as well as in the Spring. It's a beautiful place any time of year though. They also had an incredible rose garden. Lovely way to spend the day.

Each season provides a new experience at the Arboretum, but around the holidays you have the chance to see the Holiday Garden Railway. It is magical and loved by "kids" of all ages!

It is beautiful. Great trains, great flowers, great little gardens, but VERY family friendly. Look around and enjoy all the small areas, trains, buildings, gift shop, but the rope tree is awesome -- I think I liked it better than my nephew!

You can get here by Metro or train but not recommended by bus. It is a nice walk around the grounds but be aware that you must walk half a mile from where the bus drops you off to get to the entrance. I am not sure how much it costs because we had to jump the fence because it was getting late and we couldn't figure out how to get in.

The gardens are very large and walking the whole area would have been very difficult. However there is a golf cart with a helpful and knowledgeable driver to take people around the entire arboretum. Afterward we revisited the most interesting places and enjoyed reading the tags on the trees, bushes and plants. The air, the colors of green (not fall yet in the Philadelphia area) were so refreshing! This is a heavenly spot.
