“Paradise in Philadelphia!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2013

We went on a cool August morning after an overnight rain, and the greenery was lush and verdant. Hard to believe a place this beautiful was in Philadelphia. Love the Rose Garden, the Big Bugs, the sculptures, and the beautiful flowers and trees. Spend the day and relax! Take advantage of the many benches throughout the park and enjoy the views and the serenity. Make it a point to find the out-of-the-way places, as they seem to be less-often visited, and IMHO, offer the greatest sanctuary. A rare find!

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013

Nice place to relax and enjoy a quiet walk throughout the garden areas. Plenty of areas to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Out on a Limb and the Garden Railway were wonderful little spots for little ones to enjoy. The Dawn Redwoods reminded us of the giant redwoods in Yosemite. The butterfly bushes were full of beautiful butterflies enjoying a hot summer day. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. Don't forget to bring your camera!!!

“lovely place to visit.”

Excellent for children and families. Great summer concerts. Summer is a lovely time to visit with all the special types of lilies.
The garden sculptures alone are worth the trip

“Nice but expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Nice, but expensive. Drive another 5 minutes and go to Fairmount Park forbidden drive - 10 miles of wooded walkways, one side of the river is flat walking area, one side more hills and rugged.
