I always use this B&B when I book travel arrangements for candidates coming to campus. Chris and Dennis are always so nice and friendly and go out of their way to make sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoying their brief stay. They are always updating their rooms to keep them fresh and beautiful. If you were coming to stay in Philadelphia (University City area especially) and didn't want a boring hotel room, I would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful bed and breakfast.

We won a one night stay at the Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast in University City, Philadelphia. To be completely honest, we were very skeptical envisioning a B & B in a major US city bordering two major college universities. Our skepticism almost immediately vanished upon arrival, seeing for ourselves, the beautiful 1865 Victorian, stone mansion on a towering tree-lined street. Our first impression from the outside was how cozy and quaint looking, and we couldn't wait to see the inside. We were warmly welcomed at the front door by Innkeepers Liz and Dennis that made us feel right at home. The inside was absolutely breathtaking, decorated and furnished perfectly, and our room, the Fairmount was no exception! Breakfast was perfectly prepared and very good! We did not have a car to get around, but with the very close by public transportation, getting around was very easy. Our stay at the beautiful Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast was a "Slice of Heaven in the city". Although it was a free stay for us, we both agreed that it would have been money well invested, and we look forward to our next stay! Sonia & Gary

We simply could not have had a better experience at the Cornerstone. This charming bed and breakfast is situated in an extremely convenient area of Philadelphia, near enough to a variety of attractions, restaurants and transportation yet just enough off the beaten path to make for a relaxing experience. The hosts are wonderful; kind and exceedingly gracious (and terrific cooks as well). The home itself is spectacular, beautifully decorated and extremely well maintained, particularly in terms of its cleanliness. We would not hesitate to stay at this establishment again and recommend that friends, family and fellow travelers do the same.

I have stayed at this bed-and-breakfast for years, as I often travel to Philadelphia for work. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The beds are great. The breakfast is good and the coffee is terrific. And the owners are delightful -- warm, easy-going, and eager to make guests' stays easy and enjoyable. I love the location, in easy walking distance to 30th Street Station, Drexel, and the University of Pennsylvania. The Cornerstone is a great option and a good alternative to the larger, more expensive hotels in the area.

We have stayed at the Cornerstone 2 times and love the hosts, location, and quaint atmosphere. It is a fantastic location if you are running any of the events that are held, as it is a short walk over the start near the Art Museum. If you like B&Bs, you will not be disappointed.
