Owner description: Located in the heart of historic Philadelphia, the National Liberty Museum is dedicated to preserving America's heritage of freedom by encouraging people to find their own place in the story of liberty. Visitors to the Museum enjoy an inspiring and entertaining experience, as they interact with incredible stories of heroes and a collection of contemporary art. Come see an exact replica of the Liberty Bell that still rings, life size children made of jellybeans, and our famous "Flame of Liberty" by Dale Chihuly made just for the National Liberty Museum. Also, be sure to check out our gift shop full of Philadelphia souvenirs, unique handmade jewelry, and fashion accessories.

Our group of adults, teens and young children visited this museum and it was moving. Due to some of the subject matter, I wouldn't bring children under 9, unless you're okay with having some serious discussions about terrorism and the Holocaust. The display highlighting every day heroes was a great character lesson for the teens. The glass sculptures seemed a bit random, other than the impressive one that spanned the entire height of the building. The cost was great, especially with a large group.

The Liberty museum is located in the lovely old part of the city. Entry is fairly priced for students like myself.
Displays are moving and very interesting and art work is intriguing.
Staff are very friendly.

We purchased a five day philly pass. This was the last thing we saw on the pass. We waited to the end, because we weren't quite sure what this museum was all about. The name doesn't do this museum justice. We arrived 90 minutes before closing. We could have spent all day there. It is a very moving and thought provoking museum.

Small but powerful for all ages. Great location in Olde City and well worth taking the time to explore all the galleries and see the awesome glass collection.

Not what I expected at all. Inspiring details of "heroes" interspersed with glass sculpture. Very very large Dale Chihuly glass piece in the gift shop. Glad I went, wouldn't make a special trip to see, but might go again if I was in the city.
PS. Photos at the top as I write this review are of the Liberty Bell. That is incorrect. The museum is near but has nothing to do with the Liberty Bell
