It was pretty good show. The steps to your seats are very steep and hard to walk down!! No railing

This fascinating building is a piece of art, a home for the arts and an amazing technological achievement, all at the same time. Except for the theatre and concert hall, all public areas are freely accessible, and there are always some exhibitions there to look at. Visit during the day and night - it feels and looks different, especially the view from the inside out - an amazing panorama of the city. Take an hour excursion (free, departing from the information booth just inside the foyer at nominated times) to find out various historical and technical details, equally interesting.

The Kimmel Center is a beautiful setting to hear the unique sound of the Philadelphia Orchestra. The acoustics in the "cello shaped" room is fantastic. We had lunch across the street at Sottos then walked to hear "The Rite of Spring", a classical piece that builds in power and rocks the building at the end. The orchestra is truly a gem in Philadelphia.

We saw the Blue Man Group at the Merriam theatre/Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. Seats were tight to say the least (I'm not large) AND even though we were told we had good seats...we were seated under the balcony and couldn't see much of the finale of the show which takes place higher up in the air. Our visibility was cut-off by the balcony overhead. It looks like a nice, quaint theatre but why the Blue Man Group would perform their show in their is beyond me..

We saw the nutcracker here, and the theater was a marvel to tour thru.
