“An oasis through Philly”

Schuylkill River Trail Walk
Reviewed May 25, 2012

Along the Schuylkill River that runs through Philadelphia, the city has made a great trail for biking, walking and jogging. The trail runs for over 130miles from center city towards Valley Forge and far beyond that. Behind the Museum of Art in Philly you find the old Fairmont Waterworks which is now a museum. Nice buildings, beautiful parks, public restroom (Lloyd Hall past the Waterworks) and along the trail there is well kept grass lawns and trees. Take your baby for a walk in the stroller, take your dog for the morning walk or go hand in hand along the river. Just the best place to relax in Philly, my favourite in my 6 month period of living here!

While in Philadelphia, my friend & I walked over to the Schuylkill River. We took a Sunday morning walk along the trail and it was beautiful. Weather was in the mid 40's and it was nice and sunny -- perfect morning for a walk and a great location! It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a little while. Definitely recommend!
