A friend and I enjoyed a delicious lunch of salad, entrees, complimentary red wine and complimentary dessert plus tea and coffee for less than you can possibly believe. The staff is charming and friendly, service prompt but not too fast.
We had a great time chatting and will go back with friends. Remember to get there early. They do not serve after 4:00 p.m.

If you like excellent italian, this is the place for you. Prices are ok, portions are well sized as all prices include a small salad, a small glass of wine, great italian bread, your main course and dessert. The menu leaves a bit to be desired, but they always have many many specials that more than make up for it. The specials will generally run you $16-$18. Menu items are less. Definatly worth the trip to philly. Just keep in mind they are only open till 5pm during the week, and 6pm on Saturaday. This is a gem that is a must for any foodie, especially an italian foodie.

Enjoy!

Mr. Joe's is one of my favorite Philly restaurants. The food is wonderful and you can't beat the price. You get a full meal that includes a glass of wine, a salad and even desert, which you know is good since the owner of this place also owns Termini's bakery! Hopefully, Annemarie will be there to wait on you. She is one of the nicest people around. And if you're really lucky "Mr. Joe" will stop by your table and say Hi! Just the best place but come early because there are only a few tables and they full up quickly.

Recommended by a friend, we stopped for lunch and had a great meal. Aside from the regular menu, several specials were on offer. This place serves a full meal including salad, desert and a free glass of wine for a bargain price. Smaller plates and panini sandwiches are also served. The food is American-Italian and just great as is the atmosphere in this small neighborhood place. A must for a great lunch!

There is limited seating so be prepared to wait. The restaurant is small, but very intimate. The food is fantastic. I had the bacala and it was great. Free wine with dinner is always nice too.
