The gallery isn't what is used to be but it's ok and that's all i have to say about that. My main reason for posting is as follows:

oh yea... let me warn yall! there is this little stand run by these asians (no racism) that sell electronics and earphones, right near the african american bookstore near auntie annes. do not and i repeat do not buy anything from that stand. i went to that stand 4 different times. each time i went i bought earphones from them that were defective. the first time was last year and the earphones were twenty bucks and they lasted a week! the second time was earlier this year and i paid 15 bucks for another pair and again they lasted about 2 weeks. that was last year. last week i went and bought another pair telling the lady that i was reluctant because the last time i bought from them the earphones stopped working. she said "oh no no these work these work. i show you i show you". i said if they dont work im bringing them back. i paid her 10 bucks and literally walked to the mcdonalds in the food court and sure enough one ear stopped working! i did a quick pivot and took them back and showed her they didnt work. she gave me a different pair. they sounded way better than the first pair. they worked for about one hour literally then again they stopped working! i couldnt take them back because by then the gallery was closed and i went away for the weekend. but monday after work i took them back and this other asian chick was there (there always seems to be somebody different working there) i told her and she told me she could sell me a different pair for 20 bucks! im like im not paying yall for nothing... just give me my money back. she says how i know you're not lying? i said how do i know yall are not just selling defective equipment because this is the 4th time i had this problem with this same stand. i couldnt be too mad with her because she wasn't there and i didnt have a receipt (they dont give receipts and even if they do they have a no refund policy) but she said her brother "vince" a heavy set asian dude is the new owner who bought the stand from the old lady who was just there 3 days before! that broad was lying! she says yea my brother isn't going to give you your money back. i'm like yall selling defective stuff to people and implementing a no refund policy because you know your stuff is defective. she got tongue tied and couldnt say much else. i also noticed that the few and very few name brand items they have are way higher than anywhere else like fye and kmart. they sell knock off ipods (one of which a friend of mine bought that also stopped working about two weeks after purchasing) do not buy anything from this stand. the isht is ratchet and i guarantee your item will be defective!

As a visitor from the UK this "shopping mall" was recommended by the receptionist at the Sofitel where we stayed. O my goodness, what a horrible horrible place. No shops I recognised. I was one the few white faces there and the others looked like druggies.

On the way to this "mall" I asked a policeman for directions. He told me to "be careful" which probably should have seen that as a clue.

Don't go to this "mall" it is unpleasant and should be demolished.

A mall in center city. In the heart of the city. It spans for a few blocks. There are the standard larger stores. There are also stores that are not in the gallery but right there in the vicinity, so keep your eyes open for them too.

Lots and lots of food choices if you're wanting to grab something as you wait for the train home, or in my case hotel.
