A hidden gem!

A great stay. Rooms appear to have been recently redone. Conteporary style, looked like a Westin or better. Very clean. TV - with all cable chanels.

Staff was super friendly and offered great area recommendations.

Breakfast downstairs was quite a treat - and is included in your rate!

Walk down the street to Parc - you can sit outside on Rittenhouse Square and get a glass of champage!

From the conversation prior to arriving had on the phone assisting us in choosing a room, to the numerous conversations we had in person while there that helped us plan our trip around town this hotel definitely holds up. It was very personable. This hotel was superior! Our room was perfectly described, very clean and bright, and we enjoyed ourselves staying in this great spot. We would definitely stay here again! The nighttime, bedside Godiva chocolates and the plentiful, fresh fruit salad for breakfast were a very nice option too!

We stayed at this Boutique Hotel for two nights, a week apart (as we had Philadelphia as a starting and ending point of a trip around the East Coast). We enjoyed our stay a lot. The rooms were very different on the two nights; one night we had a standard room, the other night we obviously had a superior or deluxe room, because it was a lot bigger and the bathroom had a lot more space. But both room types were clean, quiet, comfortable. There were bathrobes and a hair drier. Breakfast was lovely, really nice bistro style, with lovely feshly cut fruit salad, bagels, biscuits orange juice etc. So all in all a nice stay. It is, however, a bit pricy, I think.

I spend approx 100 nights a year in hotels, mostly mid-upper tier properties, though I really like nice boutique hotels. This is truly a boutique hotel - small property but very nicely appointed room (I had a Junior Suite). The main part of the hotel is an old brownstone on a small alley.

Pluses - nicely decorated (sort of Ritz Carlton) very clean, nice size, intimate property, great location (Devon's Fish restaurant is around the corner - very good food), quiet

Minuses - not great for a business traveler - no writing desk, WiFi was out-of-range, no hair dryer, continental b'fast doesn't start until 7:30AM

Of all the boutique hotels I've stayed in, this is the first that really felt like what I expected - small, intimate, special.

We stayed at the hotel for three days had a great time. Staff, we on the whole very good. Room was very nice. Whilst parking was not onsite this was not an issue as we walked everywhere and didn't get the car until we were ready to leave Philly. The choice of restaurants nearby was fantastic. Breakfast was okay but not fantastic (but this appears to be the standard in most US hotels now).

It was our first time to Philly, and we were looking for a nice, cozy place downtown that is close the city sites.

Rittenhouse 1715 was just what we were looking for. Service is great, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Unlike the big chain hotels, it was very personalized and quiet--great for a weekend away.

Around the corner is Rittenhouse Square, which was very pleasant to sit at and have a coffee under the trees that were just blooming.

We decided to stay at this hotel after seeing it in the book of distinguished hotels while staying at The Inn at Bowman's Hill in New Hope. We were expecting the same experience as there and we were disappointed. The location is wonderful ! Although there is no parking at the hotel, there is a parking lot right across the street but they do not recommend parking there. Luckily it was a nice day so the 2 block walk from the parking lot was not bad. You would think they could make a deal with the parking lot across the street/alley. Emily greeted us and she was very friendly and helpful. The other front desk staff did not acknowledge you unless you spoke to them. The room was small but very clean. Turn down service was very nice with water at your bedside and a chocolate on your pillow along with clean towels. Continental breakfast was nice with fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt and baked goods. It was an OK experience but not a WOW for the money. Not worthy of "distinguished honors" but nice.
