A true gem in the city. Far exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and friendliness. We were visiting the campus for Experience Temple day and decided to stay here as opposed to our usual stay at the Marriott. We were greeted with the delicious homemade cookies, and checked in with Gillian. She was very knowledgeable about the university and was able to recommend a plethora of activities. Any requests we had were fulfilled immediately. We went out to a bar Gillian suggested and LOVED it...Misconduct Bar. She really knows the city! We came back late (a little buzzed) and had the pleasure of meeting Dan, who was really helpful and also suggested another bar to us. Again, it was spectacular, I think it was called Nodding Head. OVERALL: Gorgeous campus with such a pleasant staff, we will certainly recommend this to our friends and family. Thanks Conwell!

Location location location! That alone gave it 4 stars. We spent 3 days at the Liacouras Center which was about 2 blocks, that you don't even notice, from the Inn. The Inn is well maintained and very clean. Good bed, drapes and plumbing. Excellent staff!!! Don't fret on the mini breakfast offerings. The food trucks and places in a tiny walking distance such as Bonte's makes up for it. Why not 5 stars: as with most Inns, at least as I imagine, this is an older dwelling - they worked w/ what they have:
Yes, outlets are sparce as well as lighting and seating in the suites but we just moved the lamp closer to the bed when we did our night reading.
In our suite the bedroom TV was on the same wall as the living room sofa so our son kept our bedroom door closed to make it better as he watched TV in the living room.
Yeah you do hear college life after dark but it's no biggie for us.
No soap dish.

The room was small and quite noisy and the clean service was not good and one day the room had not been cleaned at all without any reasons. Hopefully the staff agreed to reimburse a part of the price for this inconvenience.

Our son is a patient at Shriner's Childrens Hospital which is a short distance from Temple University and this was our third opportunity to stay at the Conwell Inn. It truly is a gem hidden in the backdrop of the campus. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of space for three adults (we take grandmother with us) and one small child. The campus is beautiful and has anything you need right on site without having to venture out unless for sight-seeing (i.e. 24 hr convenience store, restaurant/bar, great coffee shop, etc). The Conwell is also conveniently located close to center city via a short car drive. The staff is superior in customer service and always on hand and accomodating to any requests. Our visit is always brief but one we look forward to every year!

I stayed at the Conwell Inn several months ago and was so pleased with the professionalism of the staff. Most of the employees were students and were so eager to help me with getting around city center. The hotel is so quaint and located right on the campus of the university so it is always bustling with people, which I loved. I believe there was a young woman named Catelyn who went above and beyond helping me with train schedules and helping me to navigate the city. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you Conwell Inn!

Thanks Shimmer!

Professionalism and consistency are THE goals for myself and my staff. While we love being able to surround our guests with the charm and familiarity of a Bed & Breakfast, we aim to offer everything you'd expect from a bigger hotel or chain as well! I will be sure to pass your words onto Katelyn - a truly crucial member of our staff and someone who is always willing to take that extra step to make any guest's stay as pleasurable as possible. Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you again in the future!

This was our first visit to the USA and to Philadelphia. We were given a great welcome and really felt at home at the Conwell Inn. Nothing was too much trouble and the advice from Brendan and Dan was really helpfull to navigate our way round the city, Gloria also was first class. Overall a great week and the weather was great also.

All the charm, sophistication, and service of a $400/night hotel without the price, stuffiness, and obnoxious upscale-hotel decor/clientele.

I was a little cautious about staying here, gotta admit. Yes, it's located on Temple's campus, No, that doesn't mean you're in "a bad neighborhood" or in will be in any way unsafe at this hotel. I walked to the nearby 7-11 at 2:45 AM, amazed at how safe I felt. Temple has come a LONG way from 15 years ago (when I first visited Temple), and this hotel is evidence.

There's a 24 hour coffee machine in the lobby. There's continental breakfast. The beds are out-of-this-world comfortable. The night auditor is funny and nice, and gives good directions.

Even if I were doing stuff in Center City, I'd rather stay at Conwell for half the price of the CC hotels, and then just take a $5-10 cab ride in.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at the Conwell Inn.

We are honored to have had you as our guest, and humbled by your kind and exemplary words. My staff and I work tirelessly to provide a service that succeeds, and I'm glad we were able to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Our brand-new beds have been a hit thus far, and yes...it helps to have a Night Auditor that's a Stand-Up Comedian!

It's not everyday that someone takes the time to share their comments, and yours are truly appreciated.

We look forward to having you as our guest on your next trip into Philadelphia. Again, thank you for your comments, and thank you for choosing the Conwell Inn!
