Me and my friends stayed at the Hampton Inn for a vacation. It was our first time in Philly. We've chose this hotel because it was cheap and offered free breakfast. We've stay 3 nights.
I was really surprised by the quality of the room. It was very clean and the beds were just fantastic ! The bathroom was complete althougth the hairdryer was out of order. The bathroom complementary products were awsome. The only thing about the room that bothered us is that there is so little channel on TV. Well, we were not there to listen to TV so it was not that important.
The breakfast offered a great choice. Everyday the hot food section was changing. Pastries, eggs, french toast, bagels, muffin, awsome fruit salad, yogourt, sausage, etc. The tea, cofee and hot chocolate were available 24hours a days near the lobby, but the was also a cofeemaker in the room. In the late afternoon there were free fresh baked cookies in the lobby.
The staff was wonderful and helped us finding restaurants and guiding in the city. They also helped us rent a car.
There is a swimming pool but it is close until april I think, so we didn't get the chance to try it.
The location is good. Near the Race-Vine subway station if you need, but every attractions is at a walking distance from the hotel (not the battelship or the aquarium thought). If you take the citypass, the trolley cant pick you up at the hotel around 10 in the morning.
Another great thing is how they welcomed us on our first day. We've arrived there at 8 in the morning and we wanted just to leave our luggage at the concierge. They gave us our room right away even if the official check in was in the afternoon. The also offered us the breakfast !!!! It was amazing!
We've realy appreciate this hotel! We've stayed recently in Hyatt Regency in Washington D.C. in a deluxe room and Hampton Inn is 100% better. Don't miss it !
