“Excellent in every way”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

First let me say I paid for the hotel using points. Next, the only rooms they had left were handicapped so the room was roomy especially the bathroom. The breakfast was very good and the workers kept everything filled up. The breakfast room was roomy.
If you enjoy walking this is the place. It is convenient to Independence National Park also the museums along Ben Franklin Parkway and the subway train at Market and Race Streets.
If you are in the planning stages of a trip I would take Amtrak to New York City either before or after Philadelphia. It is a delightful 90 minute trip.
The hotel is near China town and Reading Terminal restaurants. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants. The city has some very nice parks and plenty to keep you busy.

Very convenient. I appreciated the complimetary breakfast. I did not use the pool nor the fitness facility, but they appeared adequate to me. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. Accommocated my request for a later check-out.

Stayed here for 1 night while participating in a charity 5K near the Philadelphia Art Museum. Parking was located just about a block away ($25 easy self park). Chocolate chip cookies in the lobby when we arrived. Very easy and friendly check in. Our room was usual Hampton Inn (not fancy or luxurious), reliably clean, spacious, nice bathroom with loads of counter space, desk, etc. The location was really good, very close to the Reading Terminal market, Chinatown, and a few minutes easy walk to shopping and restaurants. We loved the 24 hour coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby, and the coffee is surprisingly good. We also loved the breakfast, with many healthy options, which is important to us (low fat yogurt, hot oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, wheat bread) as well another items, waffles, eggs, etc. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for a great location and value.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review concerning your stay at the Hampton Inn Philadelphia. We certainly appreciate the great feedback. You are right about the location, so many guests take advantage of our great location to Chinatown, Reading Terminal, and Historic area. The breakfast buffet does have a wide variety and the waffles are a big hit.

Very nice hotel, just across from the Convention Center. It is in a safe area, I never felt in any danger. The price was reasonable especially for the hotels in the area. The staff of the hotel is very nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and nice, the bathroom is very clean. The complimentary breakfast has quite a few options including waffles which you have to make yourself and that's a fun experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There is nothing to complain about.

Stayed here for 2 nights (was not available for all 4) and was very comfortable. Staff was friendly & helpful, and room was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is fine and walkable by day, close to Chinatown and short walk to shopping & historic sites. Would NOT recommend walking alone late at night though.

We went to Philly for a wedding. We have been in a lot of Hampton's and this one earned 5 stars. The room was ready early and the staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions for lunch. The bed was fantastic. We had breakfast there 3 mornings and it was very good. They also have an actual bar in the hotel which was nice for nightcap. We took the regional train from the Airport to Market East station and then walked the 3 blocks to the hotel. I'm glad we did because parking is really expensive. This hotel is 3 blocks from Macy's and only 2 blocks from the Reading Terminal Market - - -which is a great place for lunch. Chinatown and the rest of the tourist scene is nearby. I would definitely return to the Hampton. Note: they were no conventions which might make a difference.

This hotel is in a perfect location for going to a meeting in the convention center. I used pool and fitness center and they were both very clean. Everything very typical for Hampton...nothing stood out to me. I would stay there again.
