“A must-visit for locals and tourists alike”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

I've been to Frankford hall a handful of times, and it's always a blast. Great selection of beers and delicious, affordable food. It's especially cool when the weather is nice and you can hang outside, kicking back and having a few drinks. Last weekend my fiance and I went there to see about possibly hosting our rehearsal dinner there, and the manager Will was amazing - really made us feel like VIPs. We're still running our numbers and weighing options for the rehearsal, but if we end up going with Frankford Hall I'm confident that Will and his staff will do a bang up job with it.

“Casual Beer Garden Atmosphere for Comfort Food, Drinks, and Jenga”
Reviewed February 3, 2014 via mobile

On a Saturday night, even after a snow storm in the dead of winter, this place is packed with couples and groups eating huge soft pretzels, drinking one of a variety of drafts, and sitting at long picnic tables playing Jenga. The atmosphere is loud and fun with plenty of space for large and small groups. You can order German-style mac and cheese and other hearty snacks at a lunch counter window, take a number, and have the food delivered to your table. A few different bars allow for quick drink service even on a busy night. I've never been to Germany, but I imagine Frankford Hall comes close to emulating the beer gardens there. Looking forward to returning to FH when the weather's warmer to take advantage of the outdoor area.

“Beer, pretzels and fire pits”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

I've been to the 'Hall' two times now and have had an outrageously fun time each time. The German beer and pretzels are amazing, but if you want a place to go that's packed with people enjoying life, sharing stories, playing games and living life to its fullest - go here. I can't say enough about this authentic German beer garden. Just wish it were closer - I'd be there every weekend. It's a good time in the summer and even in the winter with the heaters and fire pits. Dress acording to the season becuase you will be outside.

“Best Bar in Philly”
Reviewed December 19, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

If you want a fun night out in Philly, go here. Beers come in two sizes, half litres and litres and the beers on tap are always great, mostly German beers. There are ping pong tables, jenga, camp fires, foosball tables, and all in German beer garden style setting. The food is also great, go with the kanzler and you won't be disappointed. Also, make sure to try the quintessentially German curry ketchup.
