We finally got around to going to Frankford Hall as they advertised an Oktoberfest Festival. We were certainly glad we went. This Stephen Starr bar/restaurant is rustic, yet elegantly contemporary. The large front windows open to bring the "outside in," and the back wall raises to a large courtyard, filled with picnic tables, another bar and kitchen window from where food is ordered. The menu, for this German celebration, was all about good German food. There were plenty of beers to choose from; both on tap and in bottles; wine and the "hard stuff." Even with the large crowd in attendance, the staff, from the attendants at the front door, to the bartenders, bar backs, servers, clean-up crew, everything ran like a well tuned Maserati. This is a very comfortable, relaxing place to come alone, with friends or family.
