Description: Behind the wrought iron gate, past the herbaceous patio and through the atrium is Talula's Garden, the warm and elegant Washington Square eatery from Aimee Olexy and Starr Restaurants. The modern menu, prepared with carefully-sourced ingredients and a light European touch, changes with the seasons. The artful cuisine, hospitable staff, sustainable spirits, and a focus on cheese make the dining experience here incredibly memorable.

Talula's Garden is an amazing brunch venue. The garden is truly the place to be weather permitting. The view of Washington Square and the trees and garden make this a dining heaven. The brunch menu is creative and well prepared. Each dish is truly a farm to table experience. Every item we had was delicate, creative and delicious. Do not miss the coffee which is Haitian. It is smooth with lots of body. We then tried the bakers delight of carrot cake, scones and apple muffins. They were light yet full of flavor. Do not miss the corn pancakes. They are amazing and coated with delicious nuts and bananas. My wife had the omelette and she felt as if it had just come from the farm. The manager, Jennifer McKenna made it a point of checking with guests frequently to make sure the experience was amazing!!! We left very happy and cannot wait to return. It is truly the brunch experience!!

Innovative Food/Menu reflecting seasonal choices & availability. Presentation was artful. Based on the freshest quality farm produce. Each dish we tried absolutely outstanding - chicken liver "parfait", forager salad, duck breast, trout. Painting in keeping with Four Seasons theme.

This place is so unique for a city restaurant. The dining area is split between a quaint, lush garden patio and a darling dining area with up-to-date country decor. There are two small bar areas (one inside and out). I am definitely coming back to have a cocktail in the outside bar on a warm city night. The food was even more impressive. The dinner rolls melted in our mouths and the our meals were inventive and delicious. The prices are steep, however. Cocktails and wine add to the expense at $11 a pop. We each paid $100 for two cocktails, appetizer and main course. If you are visiting Philadelphia, add this to your list of restaurants.

Fabulous. Everything. Innovative 'green' decor and environment, wonderful 'farm to table' menu. Outdoor dining is worth it even if it's a little chilly -- they do have ample portable heaters. Honestly, I just can't think of enough good things to say about it. Regardless of your cuisine preferences, you will be very happy with whatever you order.

My wife and I enjoyed Sunday brunch at Talula's for the first time recently and were awed with the beautiful restaurant, its setting on lovely Washington Square, the excellent service we received and of course the many yummy and unique brunch items on their menu.

You should make a reservation to be sure you can get in when you want. We had an early seating (10am) but by 11:30 Talula's was jam packed.

My wife had the scallops and I had their delightfully light creamed beef on toast.
We both had their excellent Bloody Mary's. The spicy option is spicy so be forewarned.

We finished with a cheese, fruit and nut plate which was a picture perfect ending to a lovely and relaxing Brunch.

I highly recommend Talula's to you where you will find the food tempting and awesome! Bon Appetit!
