Can't understand why passersby toss PENNIES onto his grave, located in Old City near Betsy Ross' house and Friends Meeting House, and near the Firefighter's museum. Ben's likeness is featured on old half-dollar coins and on C-notes, not one cent coins... Pennies should be tossed in DC at the Lincoln Memorial.

There is an admission charge to get into the cemetery, but you can see Ben Franklin's grave from the street. I enjoyed the cemetery because of all the Ancient tomb stones, but not really worth spending money to walk around.

It's very cool to see, but it is just a grave. It's a quick trip and worth checking out.

Visit Ben Franklin's grave. The cemetry itself is interesting with the historical figures.

How can you go to Philly and not see Ben's grave. He is buried in Christ Church Graveyard in the corner with his wife and possibly other family members. A brick wall originally surrounded the entire graveyard but many years ago his descendants requested that the wall be removed by his grave and instead a wrought iron put up so people can see his grace and pay their respects to this wonderful man. It is tradition to throw a penny on his grave. This is very easy to find and is on the walking tour of Philly.
