Description: Barbuzzo is a Mediterranean restaurant and bar located in the trendy Midtown Village area of center city. We serve small plates intended to share. With a wood-burning oven for pizzas & roasting, Barbuzzo’s menu features rustic, hand crafted regional fare such as: Grilled Octopus with fingerlings, roasted peppers & soppressata; Parsnip ravioli with duck ragu and roasted pears; Uovo Pizza with brussel leaves, guanciale, & truffle farm egg. Menu items range in price from $3 to $32. Barbuzzo has a full bar featuring Mediterranean wines, craft beers and cocktails. We have bar and counter seating overlooking the open kitchen available for walk ins.

Very hip and modern but still feels cozy. Atmosphere and service are top notch!! Small bar, great to hang out with a few friends. Two seater tables are perfect for a date. Very cool, refreshing drink menu with a few cool spinoffs of popular drinks. Dark and stormy (or scrumpy) was pretty cool. The blood orange martini was real good. Food is a 9 out of 10. A personal downside: I don't eat pork and half the menu has some sort of pork item in it (meatballs, bacon, etc.). but the rest of the menu is great and the whole place makes up for it.... definitely give this place a try! This and Tria are my top 2 favorite casual dining spots...

stumbled upon this place when arriving in philly for one night. surprisingly on a friday night we were able to get seats right away, the bar by the kitchen which is an excellent spot! Wondered why no one really wanted to sit there! We ordered pan seared brussel sprouts, root salad, smoked pork and steak and two desserts (bread pudding and a salted caramel dessert), great food and atmosphere.

Loved this place. Got to sit outside and had a great couple of dishes. I highly recommend the squid dish - it was delicious. Finish the meal off with gelato from the spot across the street.

Nice atmosphere restaurant with good quality food and great service.
We choose some different small plates to share between the 3 of us.The portions are not large , so you must order at least 2 for each one.
We didn´t eat pizza but I saw some of them on next tables and it seemed delicious.
Book in advance because the restaurant is very busy at dinner.

You see it in all the other reviews here - flatbread, flatbread, flatbread, flatbread, flatbread - their best menu item. I also saw a pizza topped with an egg, so I will probably be back to same that savory, gooey goodness. Seating is my biggest complaint - I like the open cafe/trattoria atmosphere, but it leaves little room for tables and chairs and they are all totally jammed in there. Tapas-style apps and small, yet rich desserts round out this tasty menu.
