Art lover or not this collaboration between Maxfield Parrish and Tiffany is a one of a kind masterpiece which is spectacular in all aspects and could easily be worth more than the building that contains it. A 5 minute walk from Independence Hall and even if you only spend another 5 minutes taking it in you will have seen an American Masterwork of epic proportion.

What a treat !
I was a little afraid to ask at the entrance to visit this beautiful mosaic.
But the receptionist was quite nice and helpful, even if you sen that they would prefer you to be a resident of the hotel.
I don't think this mosaic is very well highlighted : the spotlights are kind of everywhere but not serve this masterpiece right (too bright on certain areas, too dim elsewhere...)
Don't hesitate to come closer, to appreciate the colours, the shapes,...
I liked it very much !

After your visit at independence hall go visit the Dream Garden in the Curtis center lobby across the street. The lobby is all marble and a nice place to cool off. The mosaic was a collaboration between Louis comfort Tiffany and Maxfield Parrish and is the best of its kind. From afar and close up. Further the lobby stands S testament to the hay day of Curtis Publishing in Philadelphia. And it is Free!!

Take the time to walk across the street from Independence Hall to see the Wall sized mosaic in the Curtis Publishing Building. We were amazed at its beauty and craftsmanship.

Not long, just 5 minutes to appreciate the pure beauty of 100,000 pieces of gorgeous mosaic tile, across the street from Independence Hall
