If you pay attention you will see Isaiah Zagar's unique mosaic art all over the city. His public murals are seen all over the city. This museum houses a massive outdoor mosaic sculpture garden that spans half a block on Philadelphia's famous South Street. This was "green" art before anyone coined the term.
How many times did I walk or drive by this place without stopping? So glad I finally saw it - now I tell everyone!

We got 1/2 price tickets on Philly Fun Guide ($5 instead of $10) for a 1 hour guided tour. The tour was good, but the vastness and intricacies of the murals was breathtaking. The inginuity, inventiveness, and sheer amount left me shaking my head. I couldn't imagine this could ever be done. And we didn't see it all.

We stopped by at the Magic Gardens as we randomly walked by it yesterday evening. It is relatively small but definitely and interesting place if you have 20 minutes to kill - although not so unique as it really reminded me of Gaudi / the Parque Guell in Barcelona. The $7 entry fee was a bit much and the place is not big.
