“All things chocolate and more”

We headed into the city in the late afternoon on a hot day in July with children and had heard this was kid-friendly. The menu has lots to offer for everyone. If you are interested in desserts as well as shakes and dinner food. The smoothies are great as well as the crepes! The kids enjoyed the simple chicken fingers and waffle fries with a pastry brush for their ketchup. Simple and fun they really enjoyed it. it looks like a chocolate factory with bold color design. Service was very good. They have a small area where you can shop for packaged chocolates, t-shirts and retro tins.
Interesting and fun place to stop in center city. A fun experience.

“Let your inner child run free”

This was my first (not to be last) visit to Max Brenner's. Family & friends. Go when you are not rushed and can enjoy. This is not a rush in and out place, this is a sit, enjoy each other's company and pretty good food. The chocolate martini's are a must - not like others that are clear, these were like chocolate milk with a kick. Daughter's milkshake was great, burgers good sized, really no complaints. Varied menu had everyone happy. Now I want to go for brunch!!!
Ok, the drink prices were up there a little, but it's the city, and I've had worse drinks for more $ in the burbs. The waitstaff seemed to be either stretched a bit or are not used to checking in frequently, so if you keep this in mind if you are getting to the point of possibly needing something, you can be proactive. That was the only thing that had me a little disappointed.

“Delicious visit”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

We discovered this confectionary delight while strolling along chestnut street. Godiva was closed due to the holiday and I wanted some candy to take home. The name of the restaurant caught my eye so checked it out. The candy was soooo good we bought several different kinds and had a chocolate martini at the bar. This was a fun, relaxed restaurant which we will visit again

“Yum yum yum!”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

I have previously eaten in the Max Brenner in New York so when I knew I was visiting Philli I had to visit this one. The chocolate cocktails are to die for! They also make the best ever mac n' cheese. The chocolate fondue to share is really great but very very rich! The service was also wonderful, friendly and attentive without being pushy or overbearing.
If you have never been to Max Brenner it is an experience not to be missed!

“Chocoholics Paradise”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Lovely little restaurant in the middle of a bustling city. This dining spot offers brunch on the weekend days, and lunch and dinner daily. The menu is varied and offers something for everyone, including appetizers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and entrees such as pasta, fish & steak. Portions are moderate in order to entice the diner to order one of the outrageous desserts. Each dessert features some form of chocolate from liquid...shakes and beverages, to solid... cake, ice cream or some elaborate mixture...such as s'mores in a cup, fondue, sundaes and more. All the desserts are enough for more than one. This is a good middle of the road type of place...not too fancy for children and not too casual for adults.
