You have to visit the bell for its history and what it means to the USA. A great location and well appointed grounds. You will feel like runnning out for a hotdog when you visit this place.

Lots to see and do in one central location. Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, museums, etc. So much history. It's impossible not to leave without a greater appreciation for what it took to bring about the birth of this nation.
Definitely go to the Visitor's Center first and get your tickets to Independence Hall. You will be assigned a time to take your tour. Plenty to do before and after, so the specific time didn't matter much.
We parked in the Visitor's Center garage and walked to everything else. Very handy.

Liberty bell was awesome to see and is a classic relic. Only recommendation is to get to the bell before 11 am. We got there at 10:00 and waited for 20 minutes, but afterwords the line was wrapped around the building with 45 min + waiting times

Even though the lines were long, it was well worth the wait to hear, read, and see the history of such an iconic place in our Nation.
