This is where is all started. Phila. was the beginning and it's a must see for the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Ben Franklins Post Office etc. The whole area is a MUST.

“'How I meet your mother'remake”

A: Taste like freedom -
B: And how does freedom taste like?
A: No I am just kidding taste ike pennies

It is possible to "lick" the bell, security is all over the place so you have to trick your camera and play with the perspective that it just looks like you are licking it. Still funny and not easy to capture this moment on camera. admission for fre, no ticket needed. walk in read about it and walk by to taste some freedom.

“Nicely redone”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

I searched on Trip Advisor for info on what was available in the Independence Hall area. I enjoyed 3 days in Philadelphia-that was very well done and gave a reasonable idea of how much you might do on each day. I found that ordering timed tickets on line for Independence Hall was a big time saver; it cost $1.50/ticket and was priceless! It was Spring break, so there were plenty of people around, but it all moved well. The area is much easier to navigate than it was in the 60's and 70's.

So rich in history, how can you not visit here? Very manageable to get around and very accessible. You could park once and then walk around. A must for the whole family if visiting Philly...

How can you compare the Liberty Bell - a religious, political and nation-building artifact the stands in the pantheon of great objects in history. To get close (yet not touch) and hear the stories is inspirational to any visitor.
