The rangers at this park are so knowledgeable, they will make your visit come alive in historical detail and perspective. It is a must see for all.

There are lines for Independance Hall and the Liberty Bell but not for other museums on and near the site. So much of our history is on display here that it is a must visit for every American.

I don't like game plans while visiting but this is a place I would suggest taking the time to plan. (I was able to cheat a little my son lives just outside of Philly and he was with us) Many places are free however you may need a free ticket. Only 2400 tickets are given on a daily basis for Indepence Hall and are given out fast. You may get a ticket at 10 but your tour time may not be until late afternoon - which may be a problem. Indepence Hall and the visitor center where you get your free tickets are about 3-5 minutes walk apart. Depending on the time of your tour you can walk the area's other sites. Or someone can get your tickets while the others wait in line at the liberty bell for you. (In you went long ago the Liberty Bell is now in a building). Be sure to look up when you are at this and any historical site to see the great buildings. You go in and out of buildings I did see people with strollers but I don't think there are elevators because they were carrying them up and down and one place where the senate met they didn't go upstairs. Be sure you sit where you can hear your guide they do not have microphones. Not a lot of time to ask questions while viewing but after the tour the guides are around to answer your questions. So save your questions until that time. Tour guides are very informative. You will have your bag checked before you can enter. You can take all the photos you want. Get your tickets and while you are waiting to check in for security stop in the "first city hall" right there - where the supreme court first met. Planning is the key. Also, no bathrooms - however there are some at the visitor's center. The visitor's center also has several areas to walk around to view history. One of us went in line for the tickets the rest of us looked around the visitor's center.
