“Nice trip with the family.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 28, 2012

This is a great trip for the family , right next to all the historic sights in Philly.

The museum contains relics of fire fighting. Old uniforms, tools, newspaper articles and interactive exhibits.

The entrance is free, but I brought my wife a cool, Philadelphia fire dept. t-shirt, to help the cause.

I did not that this was the first fire station, (restored) in colonial North America. Started by , no surprise, Ben Franklin!

Has lots of old fire equipment and fire house articles. Also has a stirring 911 exhibit. Would recommend.

“Philly's Hidden Secret”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 22, 2012

The coolest firefighting oriented museum. Small, free, unbelievable collection of cool fire fighting memorabilia, antiques and significant items. Even the water pump from George Washington's first home as president (yes, it was in Philly). DON'T MISS this gem. Can be through it in an hour and it is inspiring.
