“Why Use Penn”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013

Several years ago a family member was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The surgery performed at Penn was extremely complex and known as a Whipple. She is one of the few Pancreatic cancer survivors I know of. Also the reputation of Penn in the Philadelphia area is outstanding.

“more than a hospital”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

Dr Nazarian and Penn Therapy. he did my knees and hips. a nice guy.
nursing staff exceptional. and fast registration makes operaqting day a less stressful event.
but
This is America 1st Hospital, has the great natural light operating room., Medical students did not want to fall asleep inthis room or they would fall over the rail. A fire engine , possibly Franklins first pumper is displayed here along with some beautiful paintings. The first psychiatric unit may have been housed here.the moat area allowed mental patients to walk around in a small secured area, and a cell kept the dangerous patients resyricted. the flowers and landscaping is remarkable.

“Second to non in healthcare!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 27, 2012

Although I live in New Jersey, I prefer to use the doctors and services of Pennsylvania Hospital. The care is second to none. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for an appointment. They sure know what they are doing. The staff is gregarious and helpful.
